New Tiered Masking Policy

 Covid Tiered Masking Policy

Adopted at Council Meeting, Oct. 17, 2021  

To any group using Bethany’s church building,   Effective October 18, 2021 and until further notice, Bethany Lutheran Church will institute the following tiered policy on wearing facemasks.  

The masking policy for groups meeting indoors will follow the CDC Covid Data Tracker color alert system.  This applies to Committees of Bethany Lutheran Church and outside groups.  Council’s decisions on masking for Worship override this policy for Worship time only.  

Red - High Community Transmission = masks required

Orange – Substantial Community Transmission = masks highly recommended

Yellow – Moderate Community Transmission = masks will be at the group’s discretion

Blue – Low Community Transmission = no masks required, safe for most everyone

This tiered system will allow you to check the current state of things in Watauga County and use that for directions on how your group may meet without having to check with Bethany’s Council each time.  

Outside groups using Bethany Lutheran Church’s building must also sign a Covid Waiver.
