Rev. Laura Weant
Pastor

Pastor Laura first came to Bethany Lutheran in 2010, having received an MDiv from Duke Divinity School, and a BA in Sacred Music from Lenoir-Rhyne College.  She is married to a pastor and they have two children.  Pastor Laura loves the people at Bethany, as well as daily sunrises over the mountains, the sound of the babbling brook in her backyard, chasing chickens, making music, and faking-it at gardening.

Sam Fike
Administrative Assistant

Sam has an AAS in Graphic Web Design and a BFA focused in Graphic Design. His career has been usually focused in communications and designing advertising, but occassionally he's utilized opportunities in education as a tutor, TA, and now is a substitute teacher in neighboring Ashe County. When he's not working at Bethany or video editing for Grace Lutheran, he's usually reading a corny, romance noval, playing video games, listening to the radio or a podcast, or out visitng a local park.
